School Closure Home Learning

Here you will find a range of School Closure Home Learning resource packs for distance learning due to school closures caused by the Coronavirus. Designed for LKS2 and UKS2, they offer comprehensive lesson plans in the event of school closures due to COVID-19, meaning that your children can keep learning while they are at home. Encompassing a wide range of worksheets, PowerPoints and cross-curricular activities, they provide a great online learning alternative to being in the classroom; all ready to download and use, again and again. We also offer School Closure Learning Links Interactive PDFs that are perfect for sharing with parents during school closures via your school website, Google Classroom, Seesaw or your Class Dojo.

Will Schools Be Closed as a Result of Coronavirus?

It is unclear how far the COVID-19 virus will affect the operation of schools across the UK, which is why it is important to be prepared for closures if they do happen. As a precaution against the spread of the virus schools in Hong Kong and beyond have already shut down, and on the 12th March 2020, the Northern-Irish Taoiseach (Prime Minister) also announced plans to close Northern Irish schools. While schools are not guaranteed to shut down, these resources are designed to help students carry on their studies if something similar happens throughout England and the United Kingdom.

How Can I Teach My Child If Schools Close?

You don't have to be an education expert to help your child carry on their studies at home. All of our LKS2 and UKS2 online learning resources have been created by qualified teachers, meaning that many of the activities require no input at all from an adult. These packs cover content that your child will already have some understanding of from previous lessons at school. How Can I Prepare My Students for SATS During the Coronavirus Outbreak?

We know how important SATS are and how stressful they can be, which is why we have created a range of quality resources to deliver the skills needed to excel, even when working from home. With a range of engaging and challenging activities, children will practise fundamental skills and reinforce concepts that have already been taught to them during year 6; serving as a helpful substitute until your child is able to return to school.
